Chelsea make U-turn on Conor Gallagher future amid pressure from fans, up to 6 six players can be sold

Chelsea have reportedly decided against selling Conor Gallagher this summer, and will now try to come up with other ways of meeting FFP requirements ahead of the summer transfer window.

This is as claimed by journalist, Ben Jacobs, who now says that the Chelsea hierarchy are actually considering selling a number of other players, who they believe are more expendable than the 24-year-old midfielder.

Jacobs stated: “We mustn’t forget that Chelsea feel they can get £30 million or £35 million for Ian Maatsen.

“The obligation to buy for Lewis Hall is expected to kick in, and that’s £30 million plus. You’ve got Romelu Lukaku… Trevoh Chalobah is surplus to requirements. Marc Cucurella, it’s not unthinkable that he would be sold for the right price.

“Armando Broja is for sale,” Jacobs added.

“So if you discount Conor Gallagher and add up all of those other names and fees, even if just two or three of the four or five of those names were sold, that’s still going to be £70 million to £100 million.”

Per FFP rules, Chelsea must balance their books by raising up to £100m before they can sign new players this summer, and some of them have to be home grown stars.
