Pochettino urged to sell this key Chelsea player after a major error against Leeds United

Mauricio Pochettino urged to sell Chelsea star after howler vs Leeds United

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi was told to “leave the club” after a major error against Leeds in the FA Cup match.

The 25-year-old has been a key member of Chelsea’s defence this season, playing in 34 matches across all competitions. But the defender had a tricky start to the match on Wednesday night, making a terrible error that resulted in Leeds scoring their first goa

The blunder happened eight minutes into the game at Stamford Bridge as goalkeeper Robert Sanchez passed the ball to Disasi at the edge of the penalty area. Disasi hesitated and two Leeds players intercepted the ball meant for Moises Caicedo.

Caicedo lost the ball which eventually landed with Mateo Joseph who fired past Sanchez to give Leeds a 1-0 lead. Chelsea fans were disappointed with the poor play between Disasi and Caicedo.

One upset fan said: “Disasi just leave man. You just bring nothing in this team. Poch f*** off man, your squads are never good. Never,” reports The Daily Star.

Another added: “Ah glad to see the real Disasi is back after a decent 2 games. Donkey.” A third said: “Disasi with another mistake and blaming it on his teammate again.” Another supporter added: “Absolute rubbish. Disasi and Caicedo are terrible on the ball.”

Luckily for Chelsea, Nicolas Jackson quickly made up for Disasi’s mistake at the other end of the pitch. The often-criticised striker scored an equaliser for the Blues just 15 minutes into the game.

Chelsea then took the lead thanks to a goal from Mykhailo Mudryk, but Joseph managed to even the score for the visitors once more. However, Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher broke Leeds fans’ hearts with a late goal, securing a 3-2 win for the Blues and sending them through to the next round. Chelsea will now face Championship team Leicester City in the quarter-finals.
