Mauricio Pochettino gives his verdict on Mudryk performance after Leeds match

Mykhailo Mudryk had a good game against Leeds United, as he scored Chelsea’s second goal in the 3-2 victory.

Mudryk was also a constant threat especially in the first-half, and looked dangerous whenever he had the ball.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was delighted with what he saw from Mudryk.

After the game, he told ITV Football: “Mudryk has an amazing talent. You need to put your talent in the team.

“For that, you need time. It’s not only Mudryk. You know very well in this level, you need to work with and without the ball.”

The Ukrainian winger has now scored five goals and provided three assists in 27 appearances for Chelsea this season.

Meanwhile, Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Sergiy Palkin has claimed that Chelsea have ‘the most talented and unique player in the world’.

Palkin has spoken highly of Mykhailo Mudryk, who has struggled to shine in his first year at Chelsea.

Nevertheless, Palkin is backing Mudryk to come good.

“I can tell you that, for me, Mudryk is the most talented and unique player in the world,” Palkin told beIN SPORTS.

“I believe that in order to get the maximum from Mudryk, as they anticipate, you need to invest in him. And these investments are not money.

“The investment is time with the coaching staff to communicate with him and to work closely with him.”
