Thomas Tuchel announces his departure from German giants, Bayern Munich

Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel announces Bayern departure

Thomas Tuchel has revealed he’ll be leaving his position as Bayern Munich manager at the end of the season, as the German club struggles to return to the top of the Bundesliga.

Tuchel was appointed Bayern boss in March last year, after Julian Nagelsmann was cut loose, following a poor run of results, but after winning the league title in his first season with the club, things haven’t exactly been the same this season.

The German giants are instead, eight points behind rivals, Bayer Leverkusen, after losing three consecutive matches, with some reports even claiming that Tuchel has been at loggerheads with some of his players.

The former Chelsea manager is now set to part ways with Bayern, which means he will become available to manage another team from this summer.

“We have agreed that we will end our collaboration after the end of this season,” Thomas Tuchel said in a statement via Bayern Munich.

“Until then, my coaching staff and I will of course continue to do everything we can to ensure maximum success for FC Bayern.”

Tuchel managed Chelsea from 2020 to 2022, winning the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. The German is a real favourite among Chelsea fans, and many would be delighted to see him return to the club if Mauricio Pochettino is for any reason, fired.
