Chelsea urged not to sell star player for stability at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea urged not to sell  perfect player

TalkSPORT pundit, Alan Brazil has urged Chelsea to hold on to Conor Gallagher because he’s ‘perfect’ for them right now.

Gallagher has been a regular presence in Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea team this season, and the midfielder has so far proven he deserves the amount of game time he’s getting.

Aside from scoring three goals in his last two matches for Chelsea, Gallagher’s incredible energy and commitment has helped Chelsea keep it together on numerous occasions this season, which makes it rather strange that there are reports suggesting that the Blues are prepared to let him go for the right fee this summer.

With the 24-year-old’s current contract expiring in 2025, it is believed that contract talks haven’t progressed at all, and Chelsea now believe it is best they let him go now than lose him for nothing.

Tottenham are among the clubs that admire the midfielder, and an offer could be made by Ange Potescoglu’s side if things don’t change at the end of the current campaign, but Brazil has now stated that he doesn’t think it would make any sense to sell the Chelsea star.

“What about Conor Gallagher, I don’t get it why Chelsea want to let him go. He is linked with Spurs now,” Brazil told talkSPORT.

“They can’t let him go, can they?! When you are trying to galvanise your team spirit, then he is perfect.”
