I have no regrets over leaving Chelsea – Striker says
Chelsea striker, Armando Broja has admitted that seeking a transfer away from Stamford Bridge was the right thing to do for himself given the circumstances he was in prior to his January move to Premier League rivals, Fulham.
Broja joined the Cottagers on loan on winter transfer deadline day, after struggling to score goals and play regularly at Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
The 22-year-old picked up an ACL injury two years ago, and hasn’t been the same since recovering towards the end of last year. Broja also had players like Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, and Cole Palmer to contend with.
“I had multiple conversations with my family and agent, and I just felt Fulham was the best club that suited me,” he stated, per The Standard.
Broja is expected to return to Chelsea at the end of the season, as his loan deal is only for six months.
Meanwhile, Marco Silva will also be hoping to see the Albanian return to his best form, especially with forward, Raul Jimenez currently out injured.
