Nicolas Jackson impressed by his Chelsea teammate brilliant effort
Nicolas Jackson was left impressed by the brilliant effort that Enzo Fernandez put into Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
The Blues rolled back the years in the win, as they provided one of their best performances yet to demolish a Villa team that’s 15 points above them in the Premier League, and away from Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea dominated the game from the blow of the first whistle, and were deservedly rewarded with two quick goals from Conor Gallagher and Jackson in the first half.
The second half wasn’t any different from the first, as Chelsea kept pressing Unai Emery’s men for a third goal. The goal eventually came in a fantastic manner – Enzo, stepping up after he was fouled outside the Villa area, fired an unstoppable shot past Emiliano Martinez, to make it 3-0 for his side.
Villa later pulled one back through Moussa Diaby, but it wasn’t enough to deny the visitors the win.
After the game, Enzo was amongst the Chelsea stars that received special praise for their performance, including from his teammate, Jackson, who took to his social media to let the 23-year-old know how unplayable he was.
“Oh my god what a pleasure brother,” read the comment from Jackson, who also had a wonderful outing on his first start since returning from the AFCON.
Chelsea will now hope they can carry on the same energy and spirit into their upcoming games, starting with the Premier League away fixture with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park next Monday.
