Man City legend backs 67 goals world-class striker to join Chelsea
Former Manchester City star, Micah Richards has stated that he thinks Victor Osimhen will be joining Chelsea come this summer.
Osimhen is one of the many names that have been rumoured to be on the Blues’ radar, as the Blues look to add a new forward player to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
The Nigerian, who has so far scored 67 goals in 119 matches for Napoli since he joined them from Lille, is admired for his physicality and pace.
Osimhen is also a known fan of Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba, which many believe will influence the choice of which club he Will play for next.
The 25-year-old recently revealed he already knows what his next move will be when the season ends, and Richards has now claimed that he believes Chelsea will somehow win the race for his signature.
He told The Rest Is Football podcast: “Something in my mind says Chelsea. I don’t know why, but I think Chelsea. Because they’re the most desperate for a striker. I think Arsenal would love to have him but they still see [Gabriel] Jesus as a number nine and they’ve got [Eddie] Nketiah. I think Chelsea will do more business. There’s something, I don’t know why, but I just think Chelsea will get him.”
