Chelsea releases intensely dramatic video of their remarkable cup comeback
Poor Chelsea and their media team have clearly been desperate to step things up on the video content front this season but so many terrible performances and results have made that difficult.
Because of that, the semi final thrashing of Middlesbrough provided a long awaited opportunity to wheel out all of the effects, editing and atmospheric sountrack they had been desperate to use.
They did it perfectly – showing all the bad moments of the first leg with melodramatic music and a desaturated filter and slow mo.
Then comes the second leg with all the goals, the colour restored, the music upbeat. It’s made out like it’s one of sport’s great comebacks, rather than overturning a poor team from the division below thanks to some comical defensive mistakes.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves guys, what on earth are they going to do if we win the final? Someone get Christopher Nolan on the phone.
