Highly Disappointed: This Chelsea star disappoints Mauricio Pochettino again

Mudryk misses another opportunity, risking fewer chances this season after disappointing his coach again

It was a little surprising to see Mykhailo Mudryk in the team last night.

Effectively, Conor Gallagher was dropped to bring an extra attacker into the team, and Mudryk was that man. But he only made it to half time. Mauricio Pochettino was asked about taking the winger off, and he insisted that it was because he had picked up a (very stupid) yellow card, and was at risk of another.

The reality was that he was just poor, and playing on the side where Pochettino was standing, got plenty of “in game coaching” to put it kindly.

We were not surprised to see him hauled off, and frankly we would imagine this is his last chance for a while. Gallagher will be back in the team for our tougher games, with Mudryk dropping out. And Noni Madueke must surely be Pochettino’s favoured threat off the bench ahead of the Ukrainian now.

When Christopher Nkunku returns, chances will grow even fewer for the speedster.

  1. This guy is just always nervous in the pitch that’s the only problem at that level you should be able to handle pressure
