Chelsea not willing to pay €100million to sign this player

According to The Hard Tackle, Chelsea have decided not to pursue a transfer for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, whose release clause is set at €100 million.

Despite earlier reports of a potential €85 million bid by Chelsea, these have been dismissed by journalists, including Fabrizio Romano.

Gyokeres has had an impressive season, with significant contributions to Sporting’s success, but Chelsea appear to have deemed the €100 million price tag too high.

Instead, the Blues seem to be focusing on other striker options and may make a significant signing in the summer transfer window.

Names like Victor Osimhen have been mentioned as potential targets for Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window.

Furthermore, Sporting’s stance is that they would only consider selling Gyokeres for his release clause amount, which is set at €100 million. This amount is significantly higher than Gyokeres’s estimated transfer value and seems to be a deterrent for Chelsea.

As it stands, Chelsea seem to have stepped back from pursuing Gyokeres in the January window and is likely to focus on other targets.
