Pochettino outlines winter break plans during transfer window

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has been detailing how he will be spending the short winter break that he and his players are currently now on.

After beating Fulham on Saturday lunchtime at Stamford Bridge, the players and the coaching staff have all been granted a few days off until later this week.

Some of the players have gone for a few days away in winter destinations, whilst the head coach Pochettino has headed back to Spain to spend some time with his family there.

But as we are in a current transfer window, will there actually be any time of for Pochettino anyway? Well, of course not, and the Argentine has revealed that he will be available and on the end of the phone ready to speak to the sporting directors regarding any transfer moves that they might be looking to conclude in these next couple of weeks!

Asked whether he will be able to put his feet up these next few days, Pochettino responded: “Not really because we are in the transfer window. I need to always be available 24 hours and to be in contact with the sporting director and the owners. Always something can appear.

And Pochettino would rather have a period where he is not on the phone too much with the owners about transfer-related business. He said: “To be honest, no. If [there is] no ring, [it is] much better for me.”
