Find out – Chelsea player names teammate he’s learning from
As Chelsea’s players enjoy some rare time off this week, there has been some quotes to look back on post-match from the win against Fulham.
Chelsea won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime before they were all afforded a short bit of time off.
It’s very rare that all the players get time off at the same time during a season. They get international breaks but if the players aren’t out training and playing with their national sides then they will still be back training at Cobham under Mauricio Pochettino. So the hard work rarely stops.
It does now though, with Pochettino confirming the players have three days off right now before coming back to Cobham and preparing for the League Cup semi final second leg against Middlesbrough.
Axel Disasi has been a mainstay under Pochettino, and he seems to be creating some kind of partnership with veteran Thiago Silva as the centre back pairing. Disasi has been speaking about the positive influence Silva is having on him.
“Everyone knows the quality of Thiago,” Disasi told football.london after Chelsea beat Fulham. “He’s a very great player. He has lots of experience and every day I try to learn from him.
“I try also to help him with my strength. It’s good to play with him.”
