Chelsea faces opposition from a coach in the breakdown of a transfer move
One pending Chelsea transfer deal could be about to breakdown, according to reports this week.
Chelsea are in the midst of sorting out a few smaller deals, outgoings and loan deals, and this is one of them.
David Datro Fofana, currently on loan with Union Berlin, has reportedly been subject of interest from Sevilla in Spain – some even suggesting it was close to happening some days ago.
But it has not yet happened, and Chelsea have not even yet recalled Fofana from his loan in Germany, which you’d imagine they would have to do before he can go to Sevilla.
So far though, Union Berlin manager Nenad Bjeliça, is opposed to Chelsea and Sevilla’s intention to break the young African striker’s loan, and his incorporation does not look as secure as it did a few weeks ago (per Diario de Sevilla).
We have no idea what kind of break clause Chelsea have in this loan deal, or even if they can recall him regardless. But it sounds like Union Berlin also get a big say.
