Fabrizio Romano dissects Chelsea’s January transfer story
There have been many transfer stories bubbling up around Chelsea for this month as we enter day 11 of the January window.
The club have yet to become too busy at all, only sorting out a few loan moves out and some recalls so far. But things could soon be about to get much busier at the club.
There are a few stories that could come to fruition this month, and one of them is the noise surrounding midfielder Conor Gallagher.
He has been a super important player for manager Mauricio Pochettino so far this season, and he even wears the captains armband more often than not.
But the noise of a move away continues, and Tottenham’s interest is still very much there.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has the latest on that situation, and he is continuing to really play down a move right now, at least in terms of nothing really developing at the moment.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think it is difficult. The reality is that they like Gallagher and have done since last summer, this is not new. We know that last summer including on deadline day Tottenham tried to make it happen with Chelsea for Gallagher.
“They had a concrete conversation, but then Chelsea said no. Now I’m not aware of any direct negotiation between Chelsea and Tottenham for Gallagher so far, but we have to see what happens in the next weeks.”
