Three of Chelsea’s next four games are in the cups, and that gives Mauricio Pochettino a great chance to mix things up after an intense winter period.

Of course the two-legged EFL Cup semi final is important, and we expect a strong team, but a comfortable away win in the first game would certainly open up the possibility to rotate things in the second leg.

The FA Cup third round game against struggling Preston this Saturday is another great chance to mix things up a bit, with lots of players needing minutes to build up to full fitness and others desperately needing a break after racking up crazy amounts of playing time in the last week.

Overall, these next two weeks should see some returns from injury, some chances for rotation options, and maybe even some debuts for youngsters too. By the time we face Liverpool at the end of this month, we should be nicely prepared for the second half of the season.
