Former Man Utd player praises Chelsea man’s audacity
One former Manchester United player has been raving about a current Chelsea player this weekend, and it comes as no surprise at all.
In fact, everyone has been raving about this guy since Saturday and it is some fully deserved plaudits once again.
Cole Palmer has proven himself to be one of the signings of the summer in the world of football when he joined Chelsea from Manchester City. It was a signing that was surprisingly questioned by some at the time, but many of us knew this kid is the real deal.
Palmer has been superb since arriving at Stamford Bridge and being handed a key role at the London club. He really has been carrying Chelsea at times.
He popped up with two very important and world class goals against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon, and it was his second goal in particular that has had former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel raving about him.
In words cited via X, the former Red Devils stopper said: “[Cole Palmer] is a very, very promising young player. This touch, by the way, (Palmer’s second goal v Luton). The touch past the goalkeeper with his studs is just incredible. He just rolls it on his feet. This is a young man, what is he 21? Look at this. That little touch. To have the nerve to do that.”
