Chelsea can finally sign World Cup winning forward for just €13million in January

Chelsea can sign Roma forward and World Cup winner with Argentina Paulo Dybala in January for just €13million (£11.3million), according to Italian media outlet Gazzetta via Metro.

The 30-year-old joined Roma in 2022 after seven seasons with Juventus, scoring 16 goals in 37 Serie A appearances since moving to the Italian capital.

The report adds that the Argentina international has a contract with Roma until 2025 which has a release clause of €13million that comes into play in January 2024.

The clause only applies to teams outside of Italy, but means they can snap up the forward for just £11.3m from 1 January, which has caught the attention of the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle.

Italian clubs can also meet the release clause, but Roma can block a move to any side in Serie A by making a bonus payment to Dybala.

While the release clause could see sides make a move for the Argentine, that does not mean he will leave Roma this month, with the Gazzetta report stating that he has no desire to move.
