Pochettino supports his player amidst controversial England selection; Here is why

Mauricio Pochettino spoke in the press conference today about his thoughts on Reece James, who has been criticised in some parts for turning down an England callup for the upcoming international break in order to continue working on his fitness.

James has started the last two Chelsea games after a couple of months out with a hamstring injury, but has yet to complete 90 minutes.

From our point of view, it’s clearly the right choice for James. Even if Gareth Southgate doesn’t like it, nothing will do more damage to his chances of making the Euros than being injured, so it’s a wise move.
