Phil Foden “identified” a Chelsea player as his toughest opponent

Phil Foden has named one Chelsea as his toughest ever opponent, and he has played against him a lot.

Foden is a quality player and I really enjoy watching him play, not so much for Manchester City being a Chelsea fan, but certainly for England.

He’s a majestic player with so much natural talent. But he is equally in awe of Chelsea right back and his current England team mate, Reece James.

Speaking ahead of the their next likely meeting this weekend, Foden told Premier League and Chelsea reporter Olivia Buzaglo that the toughest player he has ever played against is the Chelsea skipper.

The pair have plenty of experience playing against each other even dating back to academy level.

Now they will be facing off against each other on Sunday afternoon, and it will be far from friendly.

Then next summer they will be best pals again trying to win something with England at the Euros.
