Cole points out crucial things in Chelsea match against Tottenham
Cole Palmer has reflected on Chelsea’s clash with Tottenham on Monday night.
The attacking midfielder, who also plays as a winger helped the Blues to a massive three points against Spurs after slotting home a penalty, following a foul on Enzo Fernandez.
Nicolas Jackson also scored three times to condemn Spurs to a first defeat of the season, much to the delight of both Chelsea and some opposition fans.
Palmer was however, not entirely happy with Chelsea’s performance in the game, and pointed out what he believes needs to be fixed ahead of the Blues’ next match.
“It was amazing,” he said. “An amazing stadium, both sets of fans were amazing. It was the kind of game you want to play in when you’re growing up. It was a brilliant game.”
Palmer added: “In the early stages we were losing too many second balls. When the balls were bouncing in the 50-50s, it was getting on top of us and they were breaking, so we needed to fix that and I think we grew into the game as it went on.
“It was a slow start from us and a fast start from them, which happens sometimes. We need to avoid it as much as possible, but credit to the team, we got back into it and then carried on stepping up and got the three points.”
