🚨 Chelsea Strike Again! Second Signing in 24 Hours Confirmed 🔥

Chelsea have wrapped up another major deal, adding a fresh attacking threat to Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Following the arrival of Liam Delap earlier this month, the Blues remained active in their pursuit of a new striker to complement both Delap and Nicolas Jackson. While names like Victor Osimhen and Hugo Ekitike were considered, Chelsea locked in on Joao Pedro as their top choice in recent weeks.

Now, despite strong interest from Newcastle, Chelsea have won the race — reaching an agreement with Brighton to bring Joao Pedro to Stamford Bridge. ✅

David Ornstein reports that Chelsea have finalised an agreement with Brighton for the signing of Joao Pedro. The deal, worth over £50 million, will see the 23-year-old forward sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro has been focused on a switch to Chelsea from the outset, showing a clear preference for the London club despite firm interest from Newcastle. Eager to take the next step in his career, the Brazilian will complete his move to the capital later this summer.

Before officially kicking off his Chelsea career, Joao Pedro will first feature in the United States. According to David Ornstein, the Brazil international will join up with Chelsea’s squad for the Club World Cup, with the registration window opening next week ahead of their quarter-final clash against Palmeiras.

Pedro becomes Chelsea’s second signing in as many days, following the agreement to bring in Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund over the weekend. With attacking reinforcements now in place, Enzo Maresca will have no shortage of firepower next season. But for now, his immediate focus is on adding Club World Cup glory to the club’s recent UEFA Conference League triumph. 🏆🇧🇷
