🚨 “Out of Nowhere!” – Trusted source reveals shock Liverpool transfer twist live on Sunday night 🔥

Bayern Munich aren’t ready to give up on signing a Liverpool star this summer.

The German champions had initially shown strong interest in Cody Gakpo earlier in the window.

However, the Dutch forward appears in no hurry to leave Anfield, especially after an impressive first season under fellow countryman Arne Slot in the 2024/25 campaign.

With that move now looking unlikely, Bayern are reportedly broadening their Premier League search as they aim to strengthen the left side of their attack — with Luis Diaz now on their radar.

A move to La Liga giants Barcelona looks increasingly unlikely for Luis Diaz this summer. Following a standout season, Liverpool won’t be letting their No.7 go cheaply — and more crucially, Barça have shifted their focus to Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.

Interestingly, Bayern Munich have now entered the picture. According to CF Bayern Insider, sporting director Max Eberl has turned his attention to another of Arne Slot’s standout performers — Colombian winger Luis Diaz. Bayern’s renewed interest stems from Real Madrid’s decision to keep Rodrygo, despite Diaz reportedly reaching a preliminary agreement with Los Blancos earlier.

What would Diaz cost?

Guillem Balague has suggested Liverpool could demand close to £100m for Diaz — a figure that would likely be too steep for financially strapped Barcelona, especially as they’re already struggling to fund a move for Nico Williams. That said, if Diaz pushes for a move, Liverpool might consider negotiating for less.

Where do Liverpool stand?

Liverpool aren’t actively trying to sell Diaz or rushing to cash in. While they recently made a major outlay on Florian Wirtz (£100m plus £16m in add-ons), they remain well within PSR limits. That said, the club hasn’t been eager to offer Diaz a contract extension either, suggesting they might be open to a deal under the right circumstances.

As it stands, the expectation is that Diaz will still be a Liverpool player when the transfer window closes on September 1.
