“Mikel Arteta Humiliated Over Controversial Liverpool Title Remark”
“Mikel Arteta Left Red-Faced After Misguided Liverpool Title Claim”
Liverpool are the current Premier League champions, but even with a Champions League semi-final ahead, Mikel Arteta can’t seem to let it go.
Before the Paris match, the coach remarked: “We’re aiming to win trophies this season. Winning is about being in the right place at the right time. Liverpool won the title with fewer points than we’ve had over the last two seasons.”
He continued, “At this stage in the past two seasons, we’ve already won two Premier League titles, so timing is everything. Hopefully, we’ll be in the right place at the right time in Paris tomorrow to secure our spot in the final.”
“We’re one win away from the final. We can’t focus on anything else,” Arteta added. “No more talking, let’s show it on the pitch tomorrow at 9 p.m. We need to be at our best and win the game.”
These comments were in response to the fact that Arne Slot’s team won the league after a victory over Spurs, taking them to 82 points.
Last season, Arsenal earned 89 points, and the season before, 84, but Arteta seems to have overlooked an important detail—the season isn’t over yet.
If we win our last three matches, we’ll surpass Arsenal’s point tally from the last two seasons. Arteta seemed to imply that we were fortunate to win the title with such a low points total, but it seems he missed the math.
Once again, Mikel Arteta has embarrassed himself in public.
While his players are demonstrating humility and showing respect for our squad, the former Everton player can’t bring himself to praise the Reds. Just a few months ago, Mikel Arteta was storming out of interviews at the mere suggestion of losing the title, and now he’s preparing to give us a guard of honour this weekend.
We’ll see if they arrive at Anfield as Champions League finalists or as a team whose season ended prematurely.
