“Liverpool Fans Erupt Over Chelsea Star’s Controversial Guard of Honour Gesture”

“Liverpool fans outraged by ONE Chelsea player’s shocking move during guard of honour”

Liverpool fans criticized the Chelsea player.

Liverpool fans were left furious with ONE Chelsea player after noticing his behavior during their guard of honour at Stamford Bridge.

The Reds secured the Premier League title after a commanding 5-1 victory over Tottenham last weekend, marking their 20th league triumph in club history.

In keeping with league tradition, Liverpool was honored with a guard of honour by Chelsea ahead of their first league game since clinching the title.

Chelsea players formed two lines, applauding as Liverpool’s title-winning squad, led by captain Virgil van Dijk, walked through. Notable players like Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, and Enzo Fernandez showed their respect.

However, Liverpool fans took issue with Noni Madueke’s conduct during the ceremony, calling him out for his actions.

Social media users are certain he refrained from clapping as the Liverpool XI received their guard of honour.

One X user remarked, “Madueke isn’t clapping.”

Another quipped, “Madueke didn’t seem too thrilled about that guard of honour, did he?”

A third added, “That might be the weakest attempt at clapping I’ve ever seen from Madueke.”

Someone else commented, “Madueke shows no respect! He wasn’t even clapping.”

Liverpool is set to receive a guard of honour in their upcoming league matches against Arsenal, Brighton, and Crystal Palace before lifting the Premier League trophy at Anfield in front of their home fans on May 25.

Despite being a Premier League tradition, Peter Crouch has voiced his dislike for the concept of a guard of honour.

Speaking on TNT Sports, he said, “I don’t like it. Maybe it’s meant to show respect, but I just don’t see the point. It’s embarrassing for the team walking out, and equally embarrassing for the team clapping them onto the field. It’s not for me.”

Rio Ferdinand echoed Crouch’s sentiments, saying, “I didn’t like it either. I’ve been lucky enough to both give and receive a guard of honour, and both experiences felt awkward. Crouchy is spot on.”
