“‘Sensational’ Liverpool star poised for new deal after shock Anfield exit plea – report”

Mo Salah recently secured a new contract at Liverpool, and reports suggest Virgil van Dijk is close to following suit. Adding to the positive developments, a report from the Liverpool Echo (via Rousing The Kop) indicates more good news on the contract front.

Czech goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros, who had requested a transfer last summer, is now expected to sign a new deal after making his Premier League debut this season. The 23-year-old stepped in admirably for the injured Caoimhin Kelleher at Selhurst Park in October and later started in Liverpool’s League Cup clash against Brighton.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Jaros has gained valuable experience through loan spells at clubs like St. Pat’s, Notts County, Stockport, and Sturm Graz. Most recently, he was on the bench during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over West Ham at Anfield. With an eye on earning more first-team opportunities next season, Jaros is showing promise for a bright future at the club.

Meanwhile, current second-choice keeper Kelleher could depart this summer as he approaches the final year of his contract, with Chelsea reportedly interested in his services. Giorgi Mamardashvili is also set to join Liverpool for pre-season after a successful loan stint at Valencia.

Jaros, praised as “brilliant” during pre-season by Liverpool’s No. 62, has given fans reason to be optimistic about his potential in the limited opportunities he’s had this campaign.
