“Jurgen Klopp ‘Fuming’ Over Red Bull – Eyes Moves to Rival Teams”
“Jurgen Klopp ‘Frustrated’ at Red Bull – Open to Talks With Two Rival Teams”
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly dissatisfied with his role at Red Bull just four months after taking over as Global Head of Football in January 2025. Sources suggest the German coach, who signed a five-year contract, is open to returning to management for two high-profile opportunities in football.
Klopp’s move to Red Bull followed his departure from Liverpool after nine successful seasons, during which he acknowledged feeling “drained” from managing such a prominent club. However, it seems similar challenges have emerged in his current position. Reports from Brazil, cited by the Daily Mail, claim Klopp is “already unhappy and fatigued” in his new job and is considering a return to coaching.
He has been linked with two major roles: managing Real Madrid or taking charge of the Brazilian national team.
The reports originating from Brazil are particularly notable, as one of the two teams linked to Jurgen Klopp is the Brazilian national team, with the other being European powerhouse Real Madrid. The report suggests that Klopp has already grown discontented with his role at Red Bull.
Despite earning an estimated £10.3m to £12m annually, Klopp’s dissatisfaction has reportedly become a “recurring topic” within the company. Sources close to the German manager indicate that he would only consider leaving Red Bull for the opportunity to manage either Brazil or Real Madrid.
In his current role, Klopp is not involved in day-to-day operations but focuses on advising Red Bull clubs on playing philosophies, transfer strategies, and coaching development. His reported unhappiness might stem from a desire for a more hands-on involvement in football.
The speculation around Klopp’s future coincides with Real Madrid’s recent Champions League embarrassment. Following a 3-0 first-leg loss to Arsenal at the Emirates and a 2-1 defeat at home, Los Blancos suffered a crushing 5-1 aggregate exit. This has fueled rumors of Carlo Ancelotti’s potential departure, further linking Madrid to Klopp.
Klopp has emerged as one of the leading candidates to succeed Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, and these recent rumors will only intensify the speculation. Intriguingly, Ancelotti has been a long-time contender for the Brazil national team job, making him a potential rival to Klopp for that position.
Ancelotti, whose contract with Real Madrid extends until 2026, recently hinted at the possibility of leaving sooner. Speaking after the Champions League defeat to Arsenal, he remarked: “It could be this year, next year when my contract runs out… There’s no problem about it. But when I am done here, I will be grateful to this club. Whether it’s tomorrow, a year from now, or in a decade, I will always be grateful to this club. And that’s it. Full stop.”
Meanwhile, Brazil are actively searching for a new head coach after parting ways with Dorival Junior. His dismissal followed a heavy 4-1 defeat to Argentina in a World Cup qualifying match this past March.
