Liverpool Open to Offloading Chiesa Amid Uncertain Future

Liverpool could be open to parting ways with Federico Chiesa this summer, according to recent reports.

The Italian winger, who joined the club just last year, has had limited opportunities to impress in the 2024/25 campaign, racking up only 395 minutes across 12 appearances with four goal contributions. His lack of game time has been attributed to a mix of injury setbacks, Mo Salah’s exceptional form, and what appears to be limited confidence from manager Arne Slot.

There has already been speculation around a possible return to Serie A, though a move within England hasn’t been ruled out either, should Chiesa prefer to stay closer.

CaughtOffside sources claim Liverpool would likely demand a fee in the region of €25m–30m (£21.7m–26m) to part with the player once hailed as ‘world-class’ upon arrival.

The club’s willingness to attach a price tag suggests they may be seriously considering offers, especially with interest reportedly coming from AC Milan and three unnamed Premier League sides.

However, not everyone sees Chiesa heading for the exit. Respected journalist Christian Falk reports that the forward has no desire to leave Anfield this summer.

Whether the final decision rests with the player remains to be seen, but unless Liverpool push him out, he seems set to stay and fight for his place in 2025/26.

From a fan’s perspective, we’d welcome seeing Chiesa get a full pre-season under his belt and a proper chance to prove himself injury-free before any final decisions are made.
