“125-Goal Phenomenon Completes Blockbuster Move Amid Liverpool and Arsenal Pursuit”
“125-goal sensation seals move amid Liverpool and Arsenal interest”
According to Christian Falk, Leroy Sane is close to agreeing a new contract with Bayern Munich, despite receiving interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.
The German winger was nearing free agency this summer, but now appears ready to extend his time at the Allianz Arena.
Falk, in his CF Bayern Insider column, indicates that discussions with Liverpool and Arsenal never reached a serious stage.
While Sane may be past his peak, he continues to play an important role for Bayern and has enjoyed an impressive career at the top level.
Supporters will be pleased to see him staying put, as Liverpool and Arsenal seem set to miss out on his signature.
Christian Falk has revealed fresh details about Leroy Sane’s contract talks with Bayern Munich, noting that negotiations are actively underway — though a pay cut is on the table.
“Bayern aren’t looking to match Sane’s current wages,” Falk explained. “He’s currently on €15 million plus €5 million in bonuses, but any new deal would see him earn significantly less.”
According to Falk, Bayern and Sane’s camp are working on a three-year extension through 2028. The proposed structure includes a lower base salary with a larger variable component — potentially €9 million plus €6 million in bonuses, or €10 million with €5 million in add-ons.
“What’s really striking,” Falk added, “is that money doesn’t seem to be the driving factor for Sane right now. He enjoys playing alongside Jamal Musiala, one of his closest friends at the club, and that bond could play a key role in him accepting a reduced offer.”
Falk also addressed speculation linking Sane to Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool, noting that while there was interest, nothing materialized.
“There were rumours about Arsenal and Liverpool keeping tabs on him,” Falk said. “But it never truly developed into anything significant.” Right now, it looks like his future lies with Bayern Munich.”
Although Sane might not have been a guaranteed starter at either English club, he likely would’ve been a strong addition to their squads.
At 29, with 125 career goals under his belt, it’ll be intriguing to see how much more he can accomplish in the coming seasons at Bayern.
