“Liverpool target’s brother ignites transfer frenzy with major Anfield hint ahead of summer move!”
“Liverpool target’s brother fuels speculation with major Anfield transfer hint for summer move!”
Liverpool could find themselves in urgent need of defensive reinforcements this summer, with Milos Kerkez emerging as a potential target.
The Hungarian international is reportedly highly regarded at Anfield, alongside Ajax’s Jorrel Hato.
Arne Slot’s squad faces the possibility of losing key defensive figures, with both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk nearing the end of their contracts. Mo Salah’s deal is also set to expire, adding to the uncertainty.
Has Milos Kerkez’s brother just dropped a major transfer hint?
Marko Kerkez may have unintentionally hinted at his brother’s preferred destination ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old was seen ‘liking’ an Instagram post from M4 Sport, which shared Football Insider’s latest update on the left-back’s future.

The report in question suggests that Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has privately expressed his desire to join Liverpool this summer.
While the accuracy of this claim remains uncertain, such an early boost would undoubtedly be welcomed by Richard Hughes and his recruitment team, given the significant transfer business the club faces.
Liverpool Need a New Left-Back
Many fans might argue that strengthening the right-back position should be the priority, especially with Trent Alexander-Arnold seemingly on course for a move to Real Madrid.
However, the left flank also presents concerns, with ongoing doubts over the futures of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas. While it’s unlikely both will leave in the same window—and in our opinion, Robertson should remain—Liverpool must plan for the future.
At 31, the Scottish international still has plenty to offer, but 21-year-old Milos Kerkez appears to be a more long-term solution and a strong competitor for the role.
What Would Kerkez Bring to Liverpool?
Can Kerkez Reach Robertson’s Level?
Milos Kerkez still has a long way to go before matching Andy Robertson’s elite output in chance creation.
Currently, the Hungarian falls well short of the Scot’s impressive 94th and 96th percentile rankings for expected assisted goals (xAG) and shot-creating actions, respectively, as per FBref.
However, there are encouraging signs in his ball-carrying ability—something that Liverpool’s coaching staff at the AXA Training Centre will no doubt be excited about.

A Key Area for Improvement
For Arne Slot, Kerkez’s ability to retain possession will likely be just as crucial as his attacking contribution.
His current pass completion rate of 76% will need significant improvement if he hopes to thrive in what is expected to be a revamped Liverpool squad for the 2025/26 season.
