“Alisson Becker breaks his silence on Instagram with an injury update after withdrawing from Brazil squad.”

Alisson Becker has updated Liverpool fans on his condition following his forced exit from the Brazil squad on Friday.

The Reds’ shot-stopper suffered a heavy collision with Davinson Sánchez during Brazil’s 2-1 victory over Colombia on Thursday night— a match where Luis Díaz netted a stunning goal— and was forced off with a suspected concussion (Liverpool Echo).

Liverpool’s official website confirmed yesterday that the 32-year-old has withdrawn from the Brazil squad and is heading back to Merseyside for further evaluation by the medical team at Anfield.

Alisson shares injury update on Instagram

Late Friday night, Alisson took to Instagram to reassure Liverpool fans that he’s doing well and is simply adhering to concussion protocols.

The goalkeeper posted a smiling photo of himself on his Instagram story, accompanied by the caption: “Hey guys, just to let you know I’m fine! Just have to follow the protocols! Thanks for the messages.”

Relief for Liverpool Fans Amid Injury Concerns

Liverpool supporters have had their share of injury worries during this international break, with Ryan Gravenberch withdrawing from the Netherlands squad and Didier Deschamps downplaying concerns over Ibrahima Konaté’s half-time substitution for France on Thursday.

Seeing Alisson’s heavy collision with Davinson Sánchez during Brazil’s clash with Colombia would have sparked further concern, but fortunately, the Reds’ goalkeeper appears to be fine. Hopefully, the Galatasaray defender has also avoided any serious repercussions from the incident.

Now back on Merseyside, the 32-year-old has ample time to recover ahead of the Merseyside derby on April 2. His early return to the AXA Training Centre means he’ll get a head start on preparation while many of his teammates remain on international duty.

With just nine games left in the season, Liverpool fans will be hoping their number one can deliver the same world-class performances he displayed in the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain. If he does, he could be on his way to securing a second Premier League winner’s medal!
