“Enough Is Enough – Jamie Carragher Demands Major Overhaul at Liverpool After Carabao Cup Final Shock”

“Time’s Up – Jamie Carragher Urges Liverpool to Make Big Changes After Carabao Cup Heartbreak”

Liverpool suffered a shock defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.

The Reds fell 2-1 to Eddie Howe’s spirited Newcastle side, with Dan Burn and Alexander Isak securing the victory for the Magpies.

It was Arne Slot’s first final as Liverpool manager, but he was left without answers to Newcastle United’s clever tactics under the Wembley lights.

Federico Chiesa managed to pull one back for the Merseyside giants, but his goal served only as a consolation for the Premier League leaders.

Liverpool’s usually dangerous attack—featuring Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Darwin Nunez—was completely shut down, posing little to no threat against Newcastle’s solid defense.

In the aftermath of the shock defeat, former Liverpool defender and pundit Jamie Carragher urged the club to strengthen their attack with two new signings.

“That was probably one of the worst performances I’ve seen from Liverpool in a cup final,” Carragher told Sky Sports, as quoted by Metro. “They’ve given so much this season and only lost once in the league, so you can’t be too harsh. But this result has exposed where Liverpool still need to improve.”

The lack of pace in Liverpool’s attack is painfully obvious. Mohamed Salah, usually their talisman, was kept quiet by PSG recently and struggled again today — but he’s getting little support from the other forwards.

“The other attackers are good, but they’re not top-class,” Carragher said. “Liverpool need to go out and sign two quality attackers this summer to play alongside Salah.”

“This past week has really highlighted where the team needs to strengthen. It’s exciting, though — they’re on course to win the league, but there are still areas that need improving.”

Carragher is absolutely right in his assessment of Liverpool’s squad.

If Mohamed Salah doesn’t find the net, it’s difficult to see which other attacker can step up and rescue the team when needed.

The Egyptian star has been Liverpool’s standout performer this season, but even he is entitled to an off day — unfortunately, it came at the worst possible moment for his side.

Liverpool’s lackluster performance makes one thing clear: they desperately need fresh attacking options, players who can share the goalscoring responsibility and ease the burden on Salah.
