(Video) Liverpool Fans Won’t Believe What Curtis Jones Did on the Anfield Pitch After Full-Time!

Curtis Jones entered the game late in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle tonight, but he still managed to make an impression on the Anfield pitch after coming on as a substitute.

Jones, who started in Liverpool’s recent trips to Aston Villa and Manchester City, had to settle for a late cameo against Newcastle. However, the match offered a reunion with a familiar face—Anthony Gordon.

The two Scousers, who lifted the European Under-21 Championship together two years ago, shared a moment on the Anfield pitch after the final whistle. Gordon, once on the verge of a Merseyside return last summer before a proposed transfer fell through, could have easily been in the home dressing room instead of the opposition’s.

After the final whistle, Jones and Gordon were seen deep in conversation on the Anfield pitch, with footage captured from the Main Stand by @asim_lfc on X.

While the details of their chat remain unknown, the Liverpool fan who shared the clip humorously suggested that Jones might have been teasing Gordon about missing out on a potential Premier League winner’s medal had he made the move to Anfield last summer.

Could Jones have been dropping a few hints about a potential Anfield move for Gordon? It might have just been a friendly catch-up between two players who go way back, but given the winger’s rumored links to Liverpool last summer, their conversation was bound to spark curiosity among Kopites.

Was the Reds midfielder subtly laying the groundwork for a future transfer, trying to convince his fellow Scouser to join Arne Slot’s side? If so, it wouldn’t take much persuasion right now—Liverpool’s dominant 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League speaks for itself.

With the club already boasting an abundance of attacking talent, a move for Gordon might not be an immediate priority. But if things shift in the near future, could Liverpool reignite their interest? If they do, there might never be a better time for the ex-Everton man to make the switch from St. James’ Park to Anfield.
