Shocking Scene: Lone Liverpool Fan Attacked by City Supporters at Etihad

Liverpool walked away from a 2-0 victory over Manchester City with renewed confidence.

After Arsenal suffered a surprising 1-0 home defeat, the Reds seized the opportunity to gain an edge over their biggest rivals of the past decade at the Etihad Stadium.

Mo Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai linked up for both goals, securing a crucial win that saw Liverpool extend their lead to 11 points over second-placed Arsenal.

Another victory against Newcastle United at Anfield would only deepen their rivals’ frustration as the Reds push for a historic 20th English top-flight title.

Cries of ‘hit him!’ rang out as punches were thrown at the Liverpool fan while stewards escorted them from the stands.

While we’d never encourage supporters to sit in the opposition end, there’s no excusing this kind of disgraceful behavior.

Find Them and Ban Them – This Is Assault, Plain and Simple

Regardless of the circumstances, physically attacking an opposition fan is completely unacceptable. A supporter can be safely removed from the wrong section without resorting to violence.

Manchester City must take this seriously, investigate the incident, and hold those responsible accountable. This kind of behavior only damages the club’s reputation further.

A lifetime ban for the offenders would be more than justified.
