“Salah and Elliott Reveal All on Their Anfield Futures”

“Salah and Elliott Break Silence on Their Anfield Futures”

Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott have addressed questions about their futures, offering intriguing responses.

Following the Reds’ 2-1 Champions League victory over Lille, reporters pressed both players on where their careers might be headed.

Harvey Elliott has been rumored to be a summer transfer target, with Newcastle previously showing interest. When asked about the possibility of leaving, the young talent firmly stated to TNT Sports, “It’s pretty clear… I’m not leaving. This is my team, this is my club!”

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires in June and has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, was more reserved than his teammate. After scoring his 50th European goal for Liverpool, he was asked if he could reach another 50. He responded, “I am not sure about that, but I will give it my best.”

He also shared, “Hopefully, I’m not the last one. I wasn’t focused on the record before the game. It’s something I’m very happy and proud of, especially because we won the game—that’s the most important thing.”

“Lille had a strong game plan, remaining unbeaten for 21 matches, and proved to be a tough opponent. They showed that in both halves, so they deserve credit. However, I’m happy we managed to secure the win.”

Liverpool continue their dominance in the Champions League.

Liverpool’s victory over Lille at Anfield strengthened their grip on first place in the Champions League group stage, marking their seventh consecutive win in the competition.

Salah gave the Reds the lead in the first half, putting Arne Slot’s side ahead. Lille, despite being reduced to 10 men after Aissa Mandi’s red card, equalized through Jonathan David. However, the decisive moment came when Harvey Elliott’s deflected shot secured the win for Liverpool.

Barcelona’s thrilling 5-4 victory over Benfica means Liverpool need just one point to guarantee top spot. With an impressive 21 points from seven matches, no team can surpass their tally.

Liverpool now head into their final game against PSV knowing that a draw will be enough to progress.
