“Mo Salah’s Six-Word Bombshell on Liverpool Future After West Ham Brilliance”

“Mo Salah’s Six-Word Shock on New Liverpool Deal After West Ham Masterclass”

The Liverpool attacker spoke about his future following the Reds’ 5-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah has given a notable reply to a question about his contract situation with Liverpool.

The 32-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the 2024/25 season, similar to teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Van Dijk, 33, has remained reserved on the matter, while 26-year-old Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with a potential move to Real Madrid. However, Salah has been the most vocal among the three.

Following Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s on November 24, he spoke with reporters outside the stadium and admitted he felt “more in than out” regarding his future.

“You know I have been at the club for many years,” Salah said outside St Mary’s.

“There is no club like this, but in the end, it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December, and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.”

When asked if he was disappointed with the situation, he responded, “Of course… let’s wait and see.”

Since then, Salah has provided an update on his situation.

On Sunday, Salah delivered an outstanding performance, scoring and assisting twice in Liverpool’s 5-0 victory over West Ham. The result extended Arne Slot’s side’s lead at the top to eight points over second-place Nottingham Forest, with Liverpool having a game in hand.

However, it was the Egyptian’s post-match interview with Sky Sports that drew the most attention, as the discussion inevitably shifted to his future.

When asked if he was “hoping to be able to give some good news soon,” the 32-year-old responded with a blunt reply.

“We are far away from that [agreeing on a new contract],” Salah admitted.

“But again, I don’t want to put something in the media and have people start talking. Nothing [has] really moved, and now I’m focused on the team.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Salah’s performances have not been negatively impacted. The forward currently leads the Premier League goalscoring charts with 17 goals in 18 league appearances, along with 13 assists.

Liverpool’s next challenge will see them host Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United at Anfield on January 5. This match marks the first of eight fixtures for the Reds in a busy January 2025 schedule.
