Fans Reveal Astonishing Theory Behind Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Celebration Against West Ham—Liverpool Fans Won’t Like What It Implies

Fans Unveil Shocking Theory Behind Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Celebration Against West Ham—Liverpool Supporters Won’t Like What It Means

The Liverpool right-back delivered an impressive performance in the Reds’ 5-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday.

Fans believe they’ve uncovered the ‘true reason’ behind Trent Alexander-Arnold’s hand-to-ear and talking gesture celebration after scoring Liverpool’s fourth goal in their 5-0 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The 26-year-old right-back delivered a standout performance, assisting Cody Gakpo’s goal in the 40th minute and scoring one himself.

While his performance was impressive, fans have speculated about the meaning behind his unique celebration.

Fans took to X to point out how Trent Alexander-Arnold’s ‘talking’ celebration closely resembled Jude Bellingham’s gesture after scoring in England’s 1-0 Euro 2024 group stage win over Serbia.

During that match, Bellingham, 21, seemed to make a ‘talking’ gesture after scoring with a header from Bukayo Saka’s cross.

Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham are close friends, often seen together, but their celebrations could very well be a coincidence.

However, social media users quickly connected the similarities in their celebrations to the ongoing rumors linking Alexander-Arnold with a move to Real Madrid.

One user remarked: “Same celebration, different meaning.”

Another added: “His heart doesn’t belong to Liverpool anymore.”

A third commented: “Literally don’t care. Love it if he stays, but if not, then whatever, we move on. No player is bigger than LFC—especially with where we’re at as a club right now. It’d be foolish to want to leave.”

A fourth exclaimed: “Stop with this nonsense. I bet you could find at least a dozen more players, past and present, who’ve done this celebration. We all know what it’s really about.”

A fifth user pointed out: “Bellingham isn’t the only player to do that celebration though, is he?”

Another offered an explanation: “Trent has always expressed his feelings through his celebrations. He’s probably talking about a contract, either with Liverpool or Madrid.”

The Liverpool academy graduate’s contract expires at the end of the season, allowing him to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club once the transfer window opens on January 1, 2025.

On Saturday, Spanish outlet Marca reported that Trent Alexander-Arnold has ‘made a final decision’ regarding his future. The report claims that Alexander-Arnold has received firsthand insights into life at Madrid from his close friend, Jude Bellingham.
