“Michael Owen Unveils Liverpool’s Sole Threat in Their Title Hunt”

“Michael Owen Reveals the Only Obstacle Standing in Liverpool’s Title Quest”

Michael Owen: Arsenal the Only Team That Can Stop Liverpool’s Title Charge

Michael Owen believes Arsenal are the “only real threat” to Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes this season.

With Liverpool sitting comfortably at the top of the table, seven points clear, and having suffered just one defeat under new manager Arne Slot, their dominance has been impressive. However, Owen sees Arsenal as the sole side capable of derailing their quest for glory.

The Gunners currently occupy fourth place but have the chance to move into second with a victory against Ipswich at the Emirates tonight. Will Arsenal rise to the challenge and keep the title race alive?

A win for Arsenal would narrow the gap to six points behind Liverpool, who still hold a game in hand. Nevertheless, Michael Owen remains confident in Liverpool’s dominance, describing them as “streaking clear” of their rivals and admitting he would be “astonished” if they failed to secure the title.

“Liverpool are absolutely flying right now. The confidence in that dressing room must be through the roof,” Owen said on Premier League Productions after Liverpool’s 3-1 comeback victory over Leicester on Boxing Day.

“They’ll say they’re focusing on themselves and not worrying about other teams, which is the right mentality. But you can’t ignore the fact that everyone else is slipping up. Chelsea dropped points, Manchester City faltered again—they’re probably out of it now. Honestly, looking at the table, it would be shocking if Liverpool don’t go all the way.”

Owen identified Arsenal as the only genuine threat to Liverpool’s title pursuit but hinted that Liverpool’s biggest challenge might come from within. “If there’s a danger, it’s Arsenal and only Arsenal. But with the form Liverpool are in, the only thing that could stop them is themselves.”

Despite Liverpool’s commanding position, manager Arne Slot struck a note of caution. “It’s far too soon to celebrate,” Slot said. “There are still 21 games left, and anything can happen. Our focus has to remain on taking things one game at a time.”
