Mo Salah makes history with a breathtaking Premier League achievement against Spurs, a feat never seen before!
The Liverpool forward found the net in their incredible Premier League triumph.
Mo Salah has set a new Premier League record with his performance in Liverpool’s triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.
Thanks to their 6-3 away victory, the Reds now sit atop the Premier League table, four points ahead of second-placed Chelsea.
Luis Diaz opened the scoring for Liverpool, followed by Alexis Mac Allister extending the lead. However, James Maddison pulled one back for Spurs as halftime neared.
However, Dominik Szoboszlai restored Liverpool’s two-goal lead just before halftime with a strike in stoppage time.
Salah added a second-half brace as Liverpool secured an impressive six goals on the road. Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke found the net for Spurs in the final 20 minutes, but Diaz completed his brace to seal Liverpool’s dominant 6-3 victory as the match drew to a close.
Salah continues to demonstrate why he is Liverpool’s talisman this season, just as he has been since his arrival from Roma in 2017.
Salah’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season, and in an interview last month, the Egypt international expressed that he feels he’s closer to leaving Liverpool than staying.
He stated: “We’re almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers to extend my stay at the club, so I’m probably more out than in.
“I’ve been at the club for many years now. There’s no club like this. But ultimately, it’s not in my hands. As I said before, it’s December, and I haven’t heard anything yet about my future.”
“I love the fans, and the fans love me. But in the end, it’s not in my hands or theirs. We’ll just have to wait and see. Of course, [no offer is disappointing], yeah.”
“I’m not retiring anytime soon, so I’m just focusing on the season, trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed, but we’ll see what happens.”
It remains uncertain whether Salah will stay at Liverpool beyond this summer, with the forward eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs starting in January.
If this turns out to be Salah’s final season at Anfield, he has certainly left a remarkable legacy, setting a historic record in the win over Spurs.
By scoring twice and providing assists for Szoboszlai’s goal and Diaz’s second, Salah has made Premier League history as the first player to reach 10 goals and 10 assists before Christmas.
