“Mo Salah’s Bold Three-Word Response on Liverpool Future After Spurs Triumph”

“Mo Salah’s Three-Word Answer on New Liverpool Deal After Spurs Victory”

After scoring twice in Liverpool’s 6-3 victory, Mo Salah was questioned about his contract situation with the club.

Mo Salah delivered a concise three-word reply when asked about his contract situation following yet another record-breaking performance for Liverpool.

The Reds extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points with a commanding 6-3 victory over Tottenham on Sunday. Salah played a starring role, netting twice and providing two assists, achieving a milestone no player in league history has reached before.

With his second-half brace and brilliant setups for Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Díaz, the Egyptian captain became the first Premier League player ever to record double figures in both goals and assists before Christmas.

Mo Salah has now climbed to fourth place in Liverpool’s all-time scoring charts, surpassing the legendary Billy Liddell with an incredible 229 goals. He remains 117 goals behind record-holder Ian Rush, who amassed a staggering 346 goals in 660 appearances for the club—a feat that has left Salah in awe.

“Of course, it’s a great achievement at such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the game,” Salah told Sky Sports. “Having the achievement is great, but honestly, I don’t know how he scored that many goals!

“I think football back then must have been seven versus seven, not 11 versus 11,” he joked. “Ian Rush is a true legend for the club, and we have a good relationship. Whenever I end my career, I’ll be happy with what I’ve achieved. Let’s see what happens.”

To have a chance of catching Ian Rush’s record, the former Roma winger would likely need to extend his stay at Anfield. With his contract set to expire in the summer, reporter Patrick Davison asked Salah if there were any updates regarding his future.

Despite being more forthcoming earlier this season, Salah kept it short this time, responding with a simple “No, nothing” when asked about his contract situation, effectively closing out the interview.

What Salah Said About His Liverpool Future Last Month

Following a win at Southampton, Salah took the initiative to speak with the press in the mixed zone, candidly addressing the lack of progress. He said:

“We are almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club, so I’m probably more out than in.”

“You know I’ve been at this club for many years. There’s no club like Liverpool,” Salah shared candidly. “But in the end, it’s not in my hands. As I said before, it’s December, and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.

“I love the fans, and the fans love me. But ultimately, it’s not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see what happens. Of course, [no offer is disappointing], yeah.”

Riding high at the summit of both the Premier League and Champions League, Liverpool will return to action on Boxing Day with a home clash against Leicester City.
