“Real Madrid Ignored Alarming Red Flags to Secure Kylian Mbappé’s Blockbuster Free Transfer”

“Real Madrid Overlooked Crucial Warning Signs Before Sealing Kylian Mbappé’s Free Transfer”

Real Madrid were informed of the concerns surrounding Kylian Mbappé but chose to proceed with signing the French star regardless.

Real Madrid reportedly overlooked a significant red flag before securing Kylian Mbappé on a free transfer.

After years of speculation linking the French forward with Los Blancos, Mbappé finally joined the club this summer following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite taking a substantial pay cut to join Real Madrid, Mbappé remains the club’s highest earner and is set to receive an astonishing £128 million signing-on fee.

However, the Frenchman’s early days in Madrid have fallen short of expectations. Wearing the iconic No.9 shirt, Mbappé has scored nine goals in 18 appearances, but his arrival seems to have disrupted the team’s balance. Real Madrid currently find themselves an uncharacteristic 24th in the Champions League standings and trailing Barcelona in La Liga.

Mbappé has alternated between playing centrally and on the left but has struggled to replicate the electrifying form he displayed at PSG. His confidence appeared shaken during Wednesday’s clash with Liverpool, where he saw a penalty saved by Caoimhin Kelleher and was effectively neutralized by right-back Conor Bradley.

A new report sheds light on the Frenchman’s struggles. According to the Daily Mail, Mbappé has covered significantly less ground than his teammates in the Champions League this season, running just 39km across five matches.

According to Relevo, Real Madrid were warned in pre-signing reports that Mbappé’s physical output had been steadily declining since his World Cup triumph with France in 2018.

Analysts examined the former Monaco star’s average distance covered, high-intensity efforts, and sustained sprint speed, among other metrics. Despite clear signs of decline, the 15-time European champions decided to proceed with the signing, viewing Mbappé as a once-in-a-lifetime acquisition they couldn’t afford to miss.

While parts of the Spanish press have been highly critical of Mbappé’s performances, Carlo Ancelotti has come to the 25-year-old’s defense, emphasizing his importance to the team.

“He might be lacking a bit of confidence,” Ancelotti admitted during a press conference.

“When things aren’t going your way, the key is to simplify your game. It’s just a phase, but you can’t judge him for missing a penalty—every player misses penalties. He needs to keep working hard. We need to be patient because he’s an extraordinary player.”

Real Madrid will return to action on Sunday with a home fixture against Getafe, aiming to bounce back and regain momentum.
