A Liverpool player spending this season on loan has quietly returned to Merseyside during the November international break.Calum Scanlon, who joined Millwall on loan in the final days of the summer transfer window for the 2024/25 season, has struggled to make a significant impact at the London club.

“Fingers Crossed: Scanlon Set to Return to Action Soon”

Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that Scanlon is expected to resume training “in the next few weeks” and “could return” to Millwall before January, provided his recovery progresses as planned, indicating that things are heading in the right direction. The 19-year-old is part of a group of promising Liverpool youngsters that Jurgen Klopp described as “fun to watch” during their pre-season appearances the year before last. Liverpool showed their confidence in him by signing him to a long-term contract earlier this year.Scanlon also made a couple of senior appearances for LFC in last season’s Europa League. While he’s still some way from displacing Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas from Arne Slot’s starting lineup, there’s hope that he will overcome his injury setbacks and continue to develop his potential.

Here’s hoping Scanlon’s rehab progresses smoothly, allowing him to return to the pitch for Millwall soon and secure a consistent run of games at The Den.
