Among the clubs that enquired about the Frenchman were Fulham, whom he rejected, and Paris Saint-Germain, which he also turned down, believing a bid from Borussia Dortmund was imminent.However, Dortmund never formalized their interest in Cherki, forcing him to stay at Lyon and sign a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026.Lyon are adamant about keeping Cherki at least until the end of the season. However, if he declines another extension, a transfer could become likely, with Liverpool emerging as one of the frontrunners.
